The National Automotive Dealers Association (NADA) publishes fair trade and retail values of new and used vehicles, to help consumers make decisions when they’re buying their next vehicle. Lenders also use NADA to make decisions and help their members make good financial decisions, and to make sure the member is getting a good deal. This is called “Loan to
Value” -- or, what price the dealer is asking for the car, compared to what it’s worth. “Of the vehicle loans we’ve reviewed from BWS for the first half of 2020, over half came in ‘under book’, even after tax title license. Which is awesome,” Fulkerson said.
