5 Android Phones with Fingerprint Online Banking

First introduced on our mobile banking iPhone apps, fingerprint login has been a feature on our Android apps for almost as long. In the beginning, this feature was limited to only newer phones, but today most Android phones have fingerprint sensors as a base feature. To set fingerprint login as your default login method, select Use Fingerprint Sign In at the bottom of the main page of your phone app.

Below is a list of the top 5 Android phones that use this technology and are readily available at most cell phone stores.

  1. Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge (Coming soon S8)
  2. LG G6, G5 & V20
  3. Google Pixel & Google Pixel XL
  4. HTC 10, HTC U Ultra
  5. Sony Xperia XZ

Several other Android manufacturers now include fingerprint scanners as well. Consult your manual for information on your specific brand. This feature also requires Android Version 6 (Marshmallow) or newer.

Who knows what the future may hold for mobile banking login — voice recognition, retina scanning or location based login, all seem like technologies right around the corner.
