Streator’s Taste of the Town Now Accepting Beneficiary Applications

The committee for Streator’s Taste of the Town, an annual culinary event and auction, is accepting applications from charities to be the beneficiaries of the March 12 event at the Streator Knights of Columbus Hall.

The event, which has generated more than $170,000 during its seven-year history, continues to be a successful venture for local restaurants to feature their specialty foods.

Charities interested in learning more about the requirements for consideration may contact Dana Stillwell, event committee member from Streator Onized Credit Union, at 815-673-5577 or dstillwell@socu.org. All applications must be received by Thursday, Aug. 15.

The event committee includes representatives from St. Mary’s Hospital, Streator Onized Credit Union, US Foods and Vactor.
